Ali Mercier is our first HCP “graduate” who returned in a teaching role in 2012 and has now become the full-time Director. Ali has extensive preschool teaching experience. She did her schooling for both her teaching and director certificate at Mass Bay Community College.  Ali’s 3 children (Mackenzie, Kayla, and Matthew) are all HCP graduates. She and her family (including husband Matthew) live in Holliston.

Dennie has always had a calling for working with children. She graduated from Assumption College with an undergraduate degree in psychology and minors in sociology and education. Dennie obtained her Master’s degree in education and taught in Natick, Wellesley, and Westborough public schools. She took a break from teaching to raise her 3 children and then joined the HCP teaching team in 2017. Dennie, her husband Brad and their 3 children live in Hopkinton.

Micaela is a graduate of Johnson and Wales with a degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. Micaela is a hard worker and when she is not at HCP she can also be found working at Five Guys. Over the years, she volunteered by providing child care for bible studies and was a part of vacation bible school. Micaela joined the HCP team in 2019 and since then has obtained her EEC teaching certificate for preschool. Micaela has also developed one of our extracurricular activities - cooking with kids - which combines her love of children with her culinary background.

Kristin Welch graduated from Framingham State University with a degree in art and a minor in art history, working as a graphic designer after college.  She continued her education at Dean College and received her certificate in Early Childhood Education.  Kristin has always had a love for working with young children and has been in the field for over 20 years! Kristin is a certified Preschool Lead Teacher.  In her spare time Kristin enjoys traveling with her husband of 28 years, Paul, and her college age son, Ryan.  She also loves to bake, have coffee with friends and spoil her beloved dachshund, Hercules.

Melissa has a B.A. degree in political science from Wellesley College and a Masters in Education from Harvard University. Melissa has taught at both the elementary and high school levels but found her "people" when she started teaching preschoolers. In addition to teaching, for over a decade she was the Assistant Registrar at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she worked with graduate students and helped to design and implement two student information systems. Teaching the afternoon art class at HCP,  allows her to share her love of art and art history with our students. Melissa and her husband Pete live in Hopkinton and their twins Kyle and Amanda are HCP graduates.

At Hopkinton Christian Preschool, we cherish and value the impact of meaningful relationships. We love getting to know each of our kids and their families!

It has been great to be able to combine the skills I developed through the years, with my love of Christ. HCP gave my daughter such a solid foundation of confidence and skills. I am so glad to be part of it, even after my little one has moved on. I love to encourage our children in the hope of building confidence, a love of God, and compassion toward others.

HCP was a great decision for both my boys during their preschool years. My husband and I were looking for a Christian based preschool that wasn't a ``daycare``. As a stay at home mom, I only wanted a few hours for my children to start the separation process for school. My experience far surpassed my expectations. Our boys not only got a Christian foundation, they also received top notch academic and social preparation from the teaching staff. The extensive experience of the staff gave me confidence that our boys were loved and protected as I dropped them each day. It is now a privilege to build that same confidence in each of the families I am able to serve through my teaching role at HCP.
